Them going for the roguelike route this time around was really nice. I enjoyed this a lot. Enjoyed the ending a lot and was surprised this game would get me to care about some vegetables and fruits. Maybe its because I was voice actin' em to myself. But this game has great charm. Very enjoyable experience.

Also the music was kinda crazy, wasn't expecting some tracks.

Do I desperately miss the stories and the business management elements? Yes.

Is the handling of gender and bodies cowardly and prejudiced? Yes.

Is there a BAFFLING lack of a neckware category? Yes

Do I get a bigger rush than anything else in my entire life when someone deems my avatar worth making a thoughtful outfit for, or when they like an outfit that I made for them? Yeah man. Yeah. Sorry. Can't help it. Nothing like it.

you will never see me again when this comes out

Decided to try this on a whim thinking it wouldn't be my thing and I loved it way more than I thought I would. I was completely engrossed in the game and finished it in about a day and a half. Any game that makes me waiting to play more of it is a win in my book. The gameplay loop and combat were really enjoyable for me. I liked that nothing was too overwhelming or complicated and I loved getting used to all of the different weapon abilities to the point that I leveled up everyone to its max level. Whenever there was animation I was a huge fan of it - the transformation sequences were absolutely stellar and reminded me of magical girl style ones.

this shit gets my blood boiling. absolute rage incarnate. fun game

such a cute game! i enjoyed my time with it. it does get a bit repetitive, though. i wanted to 100% it, but it becomes such a grind to attempt to get all the stickers that i just could not do it

It's like Hypnospace Outlaw for trans people. Gonna make sure I buy this for all the eggs in my life. It's been a while since I've been this immersed in a game world and it's characters. The writing style may turn a lot of readers off, but beneath it is the best portrayal of trans discovery I have ever seen in media. Beyond some pretty serious bugs and a weirdly rushed maturity of the player-character in the final act, I found the game near-perfect in the portrayal of ideas, vibes and the era. It felt like I was interacting with real people in my life, and their unique flaws, talents and reactivity made the experience absurdly believable. This is something I strongly recommend, especially if you're trans or questioning your gender identity.

That was super cute. I think the combination of pic-cross puzzles and visual novel worked really well, since the story gave the puzzles a meaning and reason for doing them.

That was so chaotic and fun! I wish there were more!

As a big fan of Kitty Powers' Matchmaker (2014), it pains me to say that I just didn't have fun with this one. It implemented some really cool ideas and minigames, but playing it feels like a chore, like micromanaging a C-tier Facebook game.

Tiny puzzle game with various types of puzzles! I absolutely love the character designs and I adore the cozy atmosphere c:

It is incredibly short (took me roughly 60min to beat it once) however I am still struggling to find out what the ominous black hole does >:I if anyone has a tip, it's greatly appreciated!

Without Canada, we wouldn't have Nirvanna the Band the Show, Nathan Fielder, and Wolf Parade, so I'll let this one dud slide.

trying my damn hardest to push my own personal bias and the good memories ive had with this game as a kid aside, one thing that youre going to find out when you revist this game is that its just so packed all the biggest features of 2000s fighting games (and more weird shit). bizarre currency based character creation, several types of story modes, stupid fucking minigames and an insane amount of unlocks (a staple of 3d mortal kombat). as a kid this was the holy grail of fighting games with just how much it allowed you to do but as time passes more and more i realize just how extremely overwhelming it is sometimes - just the most bonkers late ps2 era fighting game

this is probably the coolest concept nintendo has ever done
