Played Co-op. Think I need rails, and homing attacks, and bouncing, and light dash and all the cool shit.

Its cool and I can see all the freedom to do crazy speed shit, but that seems highly skilled. When I played Adventure 2/Heroes, those made me seem cool without actually being that good.
SRB2's definitely more comfortable for me after playing untold hours of Doom and mods using its assets/engine ports. I remember this one playing rather floaty, but hardly to my detriment once I understood the momentum physics. There's definitely better fangame frameworks for a new Sonic experience, but they're either abandoned or currently lacking the right combo of levels and player obstacles to utilize that potential.
did you miss that there's a reference to friggin dark souls?!

Try out the mods (the game should honestly be preloaded with the mods or just plain add them to the game)
