Shockingly fun to speedrun. First attempt was 8 hours, this time it was 3 lol

Yeah, I'm not gonna finish that final boss. Not now, at least.

Mediocre Metroidvania-ish throwback with a decent atmosphere but unimaginative level design and exploration. Pretty sterile stuff. Undertale is down the hall and to the left.

The most 6/10 game ever made. Something to turn your brain off and enjoy on a bus. Nothing that'll stick to your head, but a decent time waster. Fast food if it was a game.

Just learned that Meowskulls is an old Battle Pass skin and you can't get her

First passable Sonic game 🥳🥳

Still has some funky and overlong design choices, but it's generally breezy and pretty and has a final boss that wasn't total aids, unlike 2. Sonic games and their ultra-quick pacing was never my cup of tea, but I had some fun with this.

Simultaneously better (neat ideas, powerups and new enemies are cool and fun) and worse (overlong runtime, repeated levels, pretentious narrative) than its predecessor. I'm currently waiting for 2.5 hours for the real ending since it's doing a fake download thing of "recovering data". That was originally 8 hours I've heard lmfaooooo get off your ass Superhot devs come on

It's good! It's good! I like it and it's good. In terms of inferior and messy sequels, it is notably better than Doom II. I played on ultra violence and I honestly wish the difficulty was more consistent than it was, and the second half is occasionally bloated. It's still Doom, it's still fun, I liked it and I recommend it, if not for its gorgeous visuals and cool gunplay. But I enjoyed Doom 2016 much more.

Haven't gotten to the actual ending yet, but this was pretty cool. Not so much scary to me as it is interesting in both a visual and atmospheric sense. Rating may or may not fluctuate when I replay for the actual ending (with a guide!!).

she be Gartening on my Banban till I Jumbo Josh idfk go read a book or something

There's a chase level where you have to navigate around shelves to get to the far end of the room before the monster gets you, but with every corner you take the game intentionally makes the lighting harder to see to make it "harder".

Fucking hate these games, man.

The writing is often moronic, cliche, and surface-level to the point of amusement (android holocaust metaphor lmao), but its mere multiple-choice narrative structure made for an occasionally diverting/interesting gaming experience, just for the fact that some choices you make leave a big impact. A meek nod to Cage for being nice enough to spend considerable effort thinking through those mildly-challenging choices.

The 2018 PS4 mo-cap graphics already feel dated and uncanny, but the soundtrack is at least decent. Brooding and futuristic, but not showy.

I can't decide between a 4 or 5/10 right now. No rating!!!! Fuck you! :D

2018

Quake, except its level design, atmosphere, and overall setting isn't as cool so it just feels like a bland imitator to a lot of classic FPS. A few inspired levels in the third mission, though.

A thoroughly interesting and melancholic game with a super expressive artstyle - yet the epilogue didn't hit the same note as the first half did to me. It's weird reviewing someone's traumatic life experience like this - specifically from a cis man - but I didn't feel as much for the aftermath due to a lot of the dialogue putting the blame on self for the incident, when it clearly wasn't. As a result it came across as a bit self-absorbed.

I really hope that didn't come across as insensitive, though. Stories like this are never inessential. I hope the girl that made this is doing better. Try it if you like.
