RE as a series is mostly known for being fun goofy camp, and Village fully embraces that. It has an insane amount of variety both in genres of horror and gameplay and casually also has one of the best enemy rosters in the entire series. Puzzles can be simple but they're still pretty fun, and in terms of exploration I'd argue the series has outdone itself once again—I've never felt more compelled to go top to bottom through the whole map like with this one, and exploration has always been one of my favourite parts of the series.
Combat is great too—weapon selection has all the classics, everything feels very punchy and it's insanely responsive. Taking out hordes was always a ton of fun and I can't remember a single encounter that annoyed me in around 12 hours of playtime.
Never expected one of these games to make me cry.

I feel a bit mixed about this game.
First of all I love the setting. We need more games in that setting. The level design is really good, especially the city parts, they are my favorite.
The movement is really cool, especially with all the upgrades you get. Unfortunately sometimes it is not working as intended.
The bosses have a weird difficulty, I actually do not like the boss fights. Maybe Hel, that's it. The game can become very frustrating at times to the point i was stuck at one part for an hour. The last level is not fun, it is just parkouring in a weird way with sometimes glitching through the objects.
Also the story falls very flat. The story is told inbetween parkouring which is not that optimal cause you gotta focus on your movement.
It's a decent game that just lacks something to make me like it more.
