as someone who only played the tiniest bit of DS3 and BB this game was the first Soulslike I gave a proper chance
breathtaking views, gorgeous music, fun & engaging gameplay, tons of variety for different playstyles, some incredible boss fights, great atmosphere throughout the game, open world done right

great for casual play by stacking insane builds on easy difficulties and looping, great for people that like a challenge with eclipse, gameplay is simple but offers a ton of depth if interested

first Sniper Elite I played - played through the whole campaign solo once and not interested to pick it up again, game started feeling incredibly repetitive after the first few missions, 2-3 types of quests are pretty much copy & paste on all maps, due to the amount of enemies you kill throughout the game the sniping becomes less and less impactful/fun until it just feels like a chore, just feels like a worse hitman
progression seems incredibly grindy aswell considering that you cant even use lots of unlocks on the highest difficulty

just an inferior subnautica, havent seen any interesting biomes in the first few hours of gameplay, just felt like a boring reset having to repeat the exact same steps of the original game, collecting the same basic resources to build the exact same stuff in ur base, storyline is also just less interesting than anything going on in the original

went in without any unnecessary hype, luckily didnt encounter any big bugs, main story as well as some side quests were incredibly engaging, night city is incredibly immersive, other parts werent bad to the point of ruining the game to me, although there are loads of weaker parts of the game
great expansion to the base game with an interesting twist on base game ideas and a completely different vibe

lots of nostalgia speaking here, very thankful for this game for multiple reasons
