The only good and fun part of the game is the 2 hours you spend being hunted by a crazy white man in his house. The rest of his family are just boring and the other enemies are dull boring bullet sponges that pose no threat. Worst thing is the game just stops being scary too after the first two hours. And then it gets so dull

I didn’t expect a tragic gay resi love story but here we are. That part of the game broke me. The rest of the game broke me in may different ways due it some insane choices like no pause menu for some the campaigns for some reason.
I was crying of sadness and of pain throughout this game.

So odd to see a game made on such an old engine try and emulate that classic feel while also being way more advance than the first game but somehow much more linear. The play time is insane though somehow just as long as the original game. A real statement of how this genre and type of games could actually still be being made in a modern era.
Also love how the companions talk and interact now it’s amazing. Hopefully that’s something this takes from BG 2

Amazing reimagining of separate ways to make it good. Works amazing with the new plot elements added in both this and the remake in general also adds in some cut sections. Funny tho that they cut the only new stuff in the OG SW like the warboat and killing Krauser.
Do wish they had the grapple gun be used more in combat tho and that Ada’s costumes are locked behind replaying this only

Pretty good re4 remake best modern resi remake by miles just have some minor issues with big parts of the new added ways to play the game that don’t feel fully fleshed out and also wish Ashley was in it more as her presence felt less than in the original game. On par with the original tbh

Oh my god I was gonna try to write an actual review but ever single boss fight with nemesis made me hate this game more and more. That clock tower fight burned every piece of good will I had for re remakes. Ruined the best part of the original game and the rest of the game didn’t include half the content just feels empty. And then include a lot of random padding in the Carlos sections which is wild with all the stuff and boss fights and monsters they cut. Just all the stuff and creativity lost is such a shame as so much of the changes are for the most boring shit imaginable

No sleep, train, viral outbreak, tyrant, another viral outbreak, Helicopter, another tyrant , No sleep 🙅♀️🙅♀️🙅♀️
Then she just disappears forever from the franchise. Well earned girl, go sleep.
Also the inventory system in this game is insane and I could not figure out wether I hate it or loved it. Still a nice quintessential Resi experience with a fun twist to make it unique shame everywhere but the train are the most basic resi locations. Just a shame the story is pretty weak and there’s no real antagonist theres a few ideas of “villains” but none who really interact with Rebecca and Billy. Like there was no story here

The memories of playing the demo of this on my 3D at like 13 scared so much I’m wrapped in my bed is one my core horror game experiences.
And years later I bought it on my switch and really enjoyed it.

You wanna play re4 without any the good? bits play this. Somehow insane that this story only retreads the ground I did not like of the OG game.
Nice free expansion but I personally hate repetition and this is just running from point a to point be In old areas doing the same puzzles with little new content. Which is something that personally bores me. Ada had zero unique gameplay which is crazy given how different she is to Leon these two characters should not play exactly the same.

Damn wild you only remade a quarter of the game and called it a day
Wild how much the ability to aim ruins the feeling and design of every boss fight and so many enemies. Also wow the second story is treated like shit and a after thought here and not like the actually second part of the game… it’s just repeating half of the original game even the same weak “puzzles” and bosses but just shorter. The game says it has the B scenario it does not at all the stories of A &B are identical so gone is the 4 different play through the game has to offer replaced with really just 1 and a half. With Leon and Claire being way more interchangeable and having a lot less personal storylines and moments unique to them. And also the odd fact they made it so none of the stories can actually co-exist.
I prefer the original for way too many reasons but this is still an okay replacement if you are someone who is a fan of modern games it’s just a shame you’d be missing so much.

Boys I think you forgot the survival horror part of your survival horror game.
Sure is good tho but the final area is so boring and goes full action and just kills the great pace.

I’m chronic fatigued as hell and this game is just pure junk food keeping me going. Plus it’s kinda therapeutic to have this much ammo and gun down this many zombies after playing so much classic Resi.
