This game excellently accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do - distilling the experience of speedrunning into something approachable for general audiences.
Where it fails is in its padding - the dating sim aspect of this game is painfully difficult to sit through & I found a majority of the cast unbearable. Fortunately that is not the main thrust of the game.

This game is absolutely delightful but it falls hard into the trap of completely barring progress unless you can solve its puzzles. For most of the game the solutions are easy enough that this is a non-issue but in order to get the true ending the player needs to figure out some particularly tricky puzzles.
When you do figure them out though, it's an incredibly rewarding experience. I recommend having somebody on hand that you can reliably ask for hints because if you get stuck you will be stuck hard.

This was the absolute greatest creative toolkit ever made available to a community in gaming. If this game were released on any other system (especially PC) exactly as it was on PS3 it would be hailed as an absolute classic.
