any time you see the Sega logo on a sports game you know it's gonna be good, and this is no exception. this is maximum speed CART action as only Sega could provide. it's rare for me to play a full season in a 90s racer, but i happily ran through the full 98 CART season in this game over the course of two days. if youre looking for a hardcore sim, look elsewhere. this game is all about intense on-track competition, not wasting hours on a setup screen trying to shave half a tenth off your lap time. although, this game does have custom setups if you really want them, and the interface is just as stylish as the rest of the game. there's also options for realistic damage, weather options including the real life weather for each event in championship mode, and up to 100% length races, so you can make it more realistic if you so choose, but i think this game is at its best with the default settings.

classic daytona gameplay, but with extra cars and tracks, plus a championship mode. the drifting feels slightly off to me compared to the arcade original, but overall very little to complain about here.

pretty neat game visually, but it's one of those games where you hold the gas for 99% of the lap, only lifting for the sharpest of hairpins. play the sequel instead. that one has still has very simple physics, but it also has more interesting track design, a stunt system, challenge modes, and a dedicated button for kicking your opponents off their bikes. it's badass.

Somehow, the DS version is the best. Exact same gameplay, exact same map, but practically all dialogue is removed. Trust me, with this game, that's a very good thing. Also the core gameplay already seems like it was designed more for handheld anyway, it's perfect for short sessions.

Very simplistic, but I'm a sucker for fantasy so I enjoyed it thoroughly. Obviously it's meant to be played with a friend, but i played the whole thing solo with no issues. I would still recommend Dark Legacy over this one, it's the exact same game but better in every possible way.

i like it, but it's one of my least favorite gt games. this feels like if a different dev was given the reigns to the gran turismo franchise, the vibes are off. good tracks, great physics, best customization in the series to date, but i feel no motivation to 100% this one. nowhere near as much variety in the events as previous games, feels like a third of the menus are wtc championships. everything is very noticeably centered around psn connectivity even in singleplayer. being able to buy most of the cars in the game is just rng with the rotating stock at the used dealership and the legend dealership, and if you arent interested in/already have something it takes like 4 real life days to rotate a new car into that slot at the dealer. also has one of, if not the worst money grinds in the series, you need over 30 mill to buy all the cars you need for the platinum trophy. i have no idea what the multiplayer is like, havent touched it; i played gt sport a lil bit back in like 2019 and i hated it, and this game also has sport mode so i'll pass. overall this game is alright, but the worst main series gt since the original, and it's a damn shame grid legends got overshadowed by this due to ea's genius plan to release it exactly one week before gt7. go play that game instead, youll almost certainly like it more.

this is a sequel to the japanese exclusive game "osu! tatakae! ouendan", which of course spawned the pc rhythm game osu. this game is like osu on pc if it was actually good; the music is boppin, and there's wacky anime shenanigans happening on the top screen while buff dudes dance on the lower screen (or a team of cheerleaders if youre on max difficulty (i wish your character choice was seperate from your difficulty)). only major complaint is the lack of a practice mode, some of the later charts can be difficult purely because you can barely read them.

now this is more like it, this is daggerfall like bethesda probably wanted it to be. movement, combat, etc are all fixed, and suddenly it's actually fun. i still have no idea what im doing, but at least the journey to figure it out is actually fun now. this game truly makes you feel like some nobody who just wandered out of a cave, you gotta work for everything, as opposed to later games where you become grand wizard of the mage guild or whatever 3 hours in (i still love you though, skyrim). if youve ever wanted todd howard to personally come in your house and stomp on your balls, he didnt make this one but it's the closest youre ever gonna get.

same gameplay problems as arena, but this one was saved later on by the unity port. HIGHLY recommend that version over this one.

cool game, too bad it plays like ass. being able to traverse all of tamriel in a single player game is a very appealing concept, but the combat, movement, basically everything about the gameplay reeks and i have no idea what im supposed to be doing, which i would be fine with if the game was actually fun but it's not.

the xbox version of this game has a shockingly difficult story mode, took me hours to clear the first chapter because my mom wouldnt stop breaking everything and shitting on the kitchen floor (im not joking)

the absolute pinnacle of nfl games. if you only ever play one, play this one. you dont even need to be a fan to enjoy this one. matter of fact, it comes with a full-length football for dummies book inside the game for the newcomers and casual fans like me who maybe dont know every rule. it has a fully featured franchise mode, player creator, shockingly good commentary from a game from 2004, excellent physics and hit detection, a house you can wander around in and plaster every wall of with posters of chris berman, and most notably a got damn first person mode that somehow works flawlessly. madden 08 WISHES it was on this game's level.

seems pretty cool but it requires a level of precision that i am incapable of coaxing from a standard game controller

the fact that it's an rpg that doesnt take 200 hours to finish is reason enough alone to give this one 5 stars

gba and ds versions of this game sure are somethin
