man look Sometimes corny edginess makes a game better for me okay. This game goes hard as hell

I would do anything to have more games that look like this You have no idea.

The thing about this game is that the story characters and setpieces are basically perfect but there are like 6 parts in the gameplay that make me want to be dead. Still love this game despite that though

oh my god i could write a whole essay about this game
Everything in this game either makes me question "why the hell would you even put this in" or is one of the best ideas and executions I've seen in a kart racer This is such a mixed bag of a game it's unreal.
Perfect example. Story mode. The story itself is kind of just a rehash of 1 and doesn't have any real direction You just kind of go places because one of the curators go "uhhhh i saw the hoard in a dark alleyway there" and 3 1/2 of the 6 1/2 worlds are literally just worlds from other games (2 of them not being that fun either) but then you get to the retro futuristic world which is run by a guy who's just really really delusional and the world thats based on the 70s disco/funk era and it's like Why couldn't the whole game have the same personality and charm as these two worlds what the hell
People rightfully point out how LBP 3 was rushed and. yeah but also It might just be me playing the game for the first time as a dumb 8 year old but the story still stands on its own with only a few flaws This game just tells me that the crew behind it were really confused on what they wanted to do (proving this point is that this was originally a modnation racers sequel before being rebranded Ruh Roh!)
Okay sorry for complaining about the most 6/10 game in existence here's positives. Again the Progress Emporium and Space Funk worlds are really really fun and I like Don and Sirius a lot. I know Space Funk reuses assets from Avalonia like the rest of the game but weirdly enough I feel like it balances it better by having actual set pieces like the bunny farm and the huge spaceship. Don please call me back
The soundtrack is probably my favorite in any LBP game and I am being dead fucking serious when I say this There is not a single song I skip in this whole soundtrack The Progress Emporium's theme is my second favorite interactive track in the whole series and the Space Funk theme is pretty high up too.
I don't like the eve/victoria worlds but god DAMN the remixes done of the themes for both worlds are so good. Don't even get me started on the final boss theme holy SHIT
Reminds me. The Hoard. I like them but I feel like you don't really see them do all that much (the final boss is kind of ass too) and I am so mad you can't even unlock them as an outfit what the hell
This is just going to devolve into inane ramblings so I'll stop it here. People say a sequel for this game would be good and. It'd sell like 3 copies but It'd probably be really good because With enough polish this could be a REALLY fun game but as is it's just kind of alright.
with all of that said i've replayed this game like 6 times I think I might have a dent in my head

ok back to LBP The cut content for this game makes me so sad dude I really hope at least some of these concepts are able to make it into a theoretical LBP 4 because I nearly started crying when I heard the alpha pod theme for this game
With that being said I still really really like this game The story mode is kiiind of flawed (captain pudd doesnt do shit throughout the entire game despite the fact his son is ruining everything) and this series has had a history with bugs but the ones in this game are kind of inexcusable but god DAMN it this game still brings me so much joy I can't hate a game with Gary Numan in the soundtrack come on now.

My biggest regret as a kid is never playing this and only sticking with LBP 2 because I KNOW I would've lost my shit playing the entire Metropolis section. Atlas by Battles saved my life

replayed this recently + noise update and uuhhhhhh Yeah this is still a really good game I don't have a lot to say that isn't inane ramblings
peppino spaghetti please answer my calls fuck

I haven't changed much of my thoughts on this game but It won't hurt to elaborate methinks
This definitely is not a LBP game so I'm sorry to all the people who've been waiting since like. 2014 but what it is is a really good platformer game
I do think this has probably the weakest OST in any LBP related game (i love bruno mars but holy shit the uptown funk drop reminded me of an illumination movie :sob:) but with that said it's still like an 8/10. I can't dislike a soundtrack with 2 Mello in it come on now.
The story is definitely more of a focus and it's pretty good at what it wants to do. Vex is a pretty good villain and I know he's sexy tumblrman bait but IDK I still like him. He's like pre twink death Oogie Boogie
I liked the city world and Naomi a lot. That's pretty much it This game is just real good
holy shit please release lbp 4 soon though i'm fucking starving

speaking of games i was harsh on Idk what the fuck I was on earlier This game taught me to love again
Unlike the PSP game this isn't a downgrade at all from 2 and is more of just a little side thing than another portable LBP
This might have my favorite art direction in a LBP game which is a lot to say since this whole series is known for having really really good art direction
and the music HOOOOLY shit This has like my second favorite interactive song in the entire series Sean Brawn your music SAVED me
Also the touch mechanic doesn't feel just tacked on (most of the time) and feels like a genuine mechanic Holy Shit this game is awesome
I know people don't really go to these games for the story and it's not like intellectual high art but god damn all of these characters are really fun and the ending is pretty touching.
I probably shouldn't like this game as much as I do but This is MY log Who give a shit.

good game but i cannot. Fucking see that fuckass origami king man anymore without thinking about the british guy who yelled at kids and family guy. my brain is mush

Okay I was a bit harsh on this game actually
The story kind of blows and it definitely does feel like a downgraded LBP 1 but it's still really fun, the level creator is good and the soundtrack is the usual LittleBigPlanet soundtrack in the sense that it's really good. It's definitely forgettable in the grand scheme of the franchise but if there was an alternate universe where this was the only game with the LittleBigPlanet title I'd still really like it.
the bazaar world was kind of bad though

when I'm in a best presentation in a video game ever competition and my opponent is a dreamcast era capcom game

there's no reason not to just make these fucking things 2d fighters right? or at least tekken style 3d fighters? do people even fucking like this genre? would people buy this if their favorite anime wasn't attached? by that logic they'd still buy it if it was a 2d/3d fighting game. it might take more time but it can't be worth it to be making the same slop since 2014. this isn't even a good example OF the genre. jojo and one piece outdid this because at least it had enough fanservice and jjbaeoh's story mode for people to appreciate. this literally has nothing. this game was made solely for people to put it in their jjk collections. other than that specific setting this was made for nobody
