Wow such a massive open world RPG that took me a month to play! This is prime example of what JRPGs are becoming, ACTION RPGs. The open world, learning new lore with the party! And Cloud!… tripping his nuts off. The story of Remake and Rebirth are a wee bit different from the OG FF7, same overall key points of Nibelheim, and the unfortunate scene of Sephiroth d-air on Aerith. Same key points but the writers here expand on these themes of being more than an activist group wanting to save the planet, it became a story about philosophical understandings and who is Cloud really?
The first time I booted up the game, I got whooped every single fight. Idk why this game felt so different from Remake and thank goodness I played Intergrade, YUFFIE IS OP and practically carried the game. Along with, synergizing Quakaga with Aerith, instantly filling my limit and stagger. THE TEAM THAT CARRIED ME IS CLOUD, YUFFIE AND AERITH, and if I get whooped or I need more damage output, CLOUD YUFFIE AND BARRETT. idk why I could not understand Cait Sith, and Tifa too fragile. Red was good damage output but also same fate as Tifa, TOO FRAGILE, DIED A LOT IN THIS GAME. After chapter 9, leaving Cosmo Canyon, that’s where my booty was kicked around. I don’t know what they are putting into their beverages, BUT WHY IS THERE SO MANY OF THESE DANG MINIGAMES? I literally competed in like 50 chocobo races, and was confused the whole time about Queens Blood. And then I didn’t even complete the last side quest cause the G-Bike glitch. The minigames pissed me off so bad holy moly, I DONT REMEMBER THIS MANY IN THE OG. Even tho, I was petty cause I got whooped, this game was fantastic, the ending made cry and feel empty, I have no idea what’s gonna happen in the 3rd part.

AERITH LV 50 w/ auto cast/Curaga, synergy/Quakaga, and revival. (Weird they made Aerith like a Black Mage, I had every magic equipped because of the dmg output of her MAGIC ATK.)

BARRET LV 50 w/ autocast/Barrier, elemental/lightning and wind, and Provoke. (This guy saved my butt so many times, Lifesaver literally saved my butt. If I need more damage, this my guy)

I didn’t really use Tifa (even tho I got that date on the Gold Saucer hehe) Red or Cait cause they just get whooped.

Now I feel empty, burnt out, and sad, i guess I’ll just patiently wait for Part 3…

Im not really a fan of open world games because they tend to stuff them with collectible and too much area to explore. Basically, you this girl named TCHIA on an island close to Australia called NEW CALEDONIA, very beautiful place from what I’ve seen. You gotta save your father from these bad dudes made of fabric and a worm god. In the meantime, you explore and you can possess objects and animals and they can do cool things like a bird can FLY and POOP, I always had a bird stuffed in my backpack.
This definitely a zelda clone, even got a paraglide thing and climbing and animals and stuff. You can shoot your slingshot and stuff, you even hold items like in Wind Waker. The game is a cool indie project, cool mechanics but does not feel very fleshed out, I only used the possess thing to travel cause it took forever on foot, and most of the time I was running back and forth doing whatever.
It was an okay experience, I did appreciate the game once it introduced objectives like taking pictures of the factory and being inside the belly of the WORM GOD. Cool little niche game, and good experience, it was just the overall use of the mechanics in gameplay, got tedious and boring by chapter 7.

One thing i like was the music, THE VIBES ARE STRONG LIKE DISNEY STRONG.

Decided to play this after going thru a FPS binge, and I didn’t know what to expect aside from shooting elements like the Avatar from your hand. Made the quick decision to boot it up randomly and literally was thrown into a super duper fetch quest open world and shoot stuff thing.
I actually enjoyed the game, aside from the clunkiness of the controls which took me a minute, the game is short but it’s very enjoyable once you get past chapter 3. I almost played all the side quests which is rare, and I ended up playing this add-on side quest in a school and this anatomy body thing keeps following you and I almost pooped myself.
The combat is very simple, you shoot one the elements and then you got a super duper move and you gotta dodge and duck and stuff. Started becoming a crazy parkour guy on the roof once I unlocked the Tengu Spider-Man ability. The game isn’t groundbreaking but the atmosphere and Japanese lore really kept the game going and I would recommend a play through.
