probably my favorite xbox/dreamcast wannabe game of 2023 before bomb rush cyberfunk comes out

If they ironed out the remaining bugs and glitches, ditched the fallout 1st subscription, ditched the pay caps for fast travel, removed the mmo aspects and eased up some of the grindier aspects it would be a decent single player game given the recent amount of content added. Game is ok-ish for the most part but doesn’t really feel up there with the other interplay/Black Isle/Obsidian and Bethesda fallouts.

Basically Dead Space: Downpour
Better off waiting for a patch or fixes for the PC port or for it to go on sale or go on Game Pass/PS Plus.

So far the sequel addresses and fixes the gripes i had with the first game while still having a challenge. Having armor and also taking more bullets in contrast to the first game where getting cut like butter by the most basic enemy is much better. I felt like the difficulty curve in this game was more fair compared to the first one. My biggest problems with the game however is that they removed the collectible finding system from the first one meaning that you now have to search every inch if you want to get everything. There’s also the grindfest and having to reupgrade or rebuy any weapons once you reach a new level. imo it adds a better post game than the first one. That and also locking content behind stuff which is average for most ubisoft fare but still a scummy tactic nonetheless. Overall I like this game better than Division 1

Game starts off easy at the first 4 missions before ramping up the difficulty by the time you get to the second main mission and continues to ramp up the difficulty curve from there on. Your NPC friends in Solo are useless and the game basically wants you to play in multiplayer mode which wouldn’t be so bad if the servers weren’t largely a ghost town. The scenery is pretty good though. My biggest gripe with Solo is that unlike other hard games that play fair this game was designed for a team of 4 players in mind rather than a single player with terrible companion AI.

Kinda wish there was more variety in the game but overall decent, hope the next game vastly improves upon the formula.

played it but it got boring after a while. It wants to capture the essence of halo 1s open ended missions but makes it boring open world game instead. Haven't played multiplayer and probably won't

Personally liked how the game was even though my biggest gripes with it was the unskippable long scenes after repeat playthroughs.
