I knew persona 3 was a great game all along and it just needed a good remake

real talk tho, this is a fantastic remake, doesnt fix every issue I had with the original and tartarus is still kind of a bitch, but I was finally able to understand why people hold this game so dearly, its a beautiful story with such a lovable cast of characters and it handles its themes so damn well.

But most importantly, as a struggling college student who is extremely confused and lost in their life, constantly wondering if I will ever find "true" happiness and love, this game spoke to me so much more than it used to. I can't put my finger on it, but I resonated with its themes so much more. The theme of finding your own purpose, what it means to live, make the best of every day, accept what you cannot change.

It's all so well put together, so while I may not enjoy playing it as much as the others, this remake made me appreciate persona 3 much more, and even if some of the original edge was lost, I think I finally get it.

bayonetta makes it one of my lesser preferred smash games tho cuz at least meta knight was fun to play

still competitive smash 4 was a lot of fun for me while it lasted despite its shitty meta, hell it was pretty much the game that made me a HUGE smash fan, and I really can't dislike it for that reason. I played this game with my friends so much and made so many memories with it, and a lot of its characters are still super fun and my favorite iterations of them (luigi, peach, sheik, samus, mewtwo, etc)

also perfect pivoting was goated bring it back

one of my biggest dreams that ik will never be a reality is to get good at melee (maybe one day if I have 1000000 hours to spare)

it is such a fuckin sick game that despite not playing competitively, i have all the respect in the world for, such a fucking awesome and creative fighting game with some of the coolest mechanics and characters the genre has to offer, and i hope it stays alive for years to come

solid 7 or 8/10 normally, fuckin 10/10 EASY when played as god intended

anyway i really liked this game ! BUT im not sure if i like it more than games like ds1 3 and bloodborne. but really who tf cares, this game slaps, loved the combat, loved most of the bosses (final boss is one of the best ive ever played), level design was super fun in how you could traverse with the addition of a grappling hook and jumping (in a SOULS GAME???)

i do think it may lack in replay value (ill probably play it again to see the other endings and bosses I missed) due to having one set "build", and the bosses were a lil easier than I would have liked tbh (minus a few of em), also some of the midbosses fr have WAAAAAY too enemies surrounding them making them a bitch to retry if u fuck up and die

otherwise tho those problems are p miniscule for me, good ass game, not sure where it ranks but idrc

didnt bother getting true ending the fact that its locked behind 100 percent completion and is barely more satisfying than the normal ending should be punishable by death

tldr: its mediocre and doesnt do anything particularly great besides graphics and music everything else is mid to ass, good visuals and music cant save a really boring and uninspired narrative with equally bland characters and a repetitive combat system that never evolves

its fine if you just want something chill i guess, but for something that is clearly trying to be story driven, the only thing I was waiting for was for the story to take a backseat and for the characters to stop talking
