The Limbo Zone

Games that I started, but never got around to finishing it or want to give a second go.

My brother gifted me a switch alongside Breath of the Wild - I havent gotten past the Plataeu content and I am so mad of myself. I just NEED to get myself to play it - it's not that it is bad, but I am never in the mood to play the game.
Don't feel inspired to ever boot up this game... There is something about this stale-ass setting that just denies me from any possible fun I could have with this game. I frankly thought I didn't like Strategy/Tactics games, but I am having a blast with Fire Emblem sooo
I just want to get to the end once - kinda lost steam a month ago, but I still wanna dig in?

I am not really a fan of the game being so reliant on the rng weapon drops - that and weapons need to be unlocked. Having massive bulletsponges in conjunction with kinda sluggish (slow) movement makes the game rather annoying to play later on.
I'm a scaredy cat. I am extremely bad when it comes to horror games, yet they intrigue me the most. I know this is like the most basic horror game out there, but I want this to represent as a gateway for this genre.
Despite havin' grown up with Sonic Games, I don't know if I actually like the general gameplay of the OG 2D Sonics. The level design kinda killed it for me. I need to get back to it one day and finish it, but I don't know when that time is.
I kinda got like halfway through, took a small break and... kinda forgot about it lmao. I don't know why I haven't finished it - It's a super fun game. But it has been quite awhile since I played it and I frankly cannot remember a single thing about it, so I would have to start over....
One day I will finish this game.... it's not even hard or anything, but I always stopped playin it right before the end. I'll get to it once I go through the entire Mario & Luigi series.
Truly a Limbo Zone game - I don't know when or IF I can even finish the game. It truly pummels me from left to right without any mercy but god dayum do I adore this game.
Now, I dont even know how I got around playin this game: All I knew was that I wasn't a fan of the motion controls and I just dropped it. However, lookin at footage of it, it looks interesting? Idk I dont got a wii anymore, so I'll have to get it runnin on dolphin...

140

Steam says I played for 80 minutes... I think I was right before the end, but I just dropped it. Kinda questioning if I should just jump in and finish it, but that is too cumbersome...
So my family had guests one night and I was "tasked" with "amusing" the small little lad they had. But I didn't wanna bother with this kid so I thought "what kind of game can I play that looks boring for an 8 year old?" and my answer was Thomas was Alone. My intuition failed me. I didn't get any of the writing or story (mainly because he was just askin me questions non stop) and twenty minutes in he demanded that he shall play this game. I just handed him the controller, watched him agonizingly fail for the next thirty minutes until I decided to just close my pc and go for a walk (without this kid).

Probably a great game idk.
I played it when it was in early access. I only like 5 hours, but I enjoyed my time with it. I shelved it so I can play it "when it is done". It's apparently done, but I haven't gotten around to it.

The only thing that I remember were the janky ball puzzles and the weird controls - I hated that I had to move my mouse up close to perform melee attacks and while the controller has the melee attack dedicated to a button, aiming with it is just a no-go in my eyes. Anyway I still wanna finish it one day.
This counts for the entire Deponia franchise. I have tried to play the first one multiple times, but I always get stuck on some puzzle and just frustratingly quit the game. (rather than lookin at a guide) The games look super charming and I really wanna get to play them one day.
Sheesh, I sure play a lot of rougelikes... It's fun but I never really got motivated to finish a run... that and I am bad at the game.
Something about the game just put me off - I don't know if it's the aesthetic, the "language-system", the clowns, or anything. I feel like I have been too hard on this game and as such want to reevaluate my half-star rating I gave it. I only played like the first half hour of it, but just bounced off, feeling appalled (for some reason).
Still not sure if I should play it through the Gold version or through like a GOG version with some mods.... I like it, but takes a bit to get used to the gameplay after having played alot of modern games.
I bought the game when it was just Shovel Knight. For 20 bucks I got 4 games included (pretty epic deal ngl). I want to get back to this series and play through it all, since I really enjoyed the original Shovel Knight, now called "Shovel of Hope". We'll see when that time comes.
Oddworld is a weird one - this game looks super cool and all, but all my friends think it looks like dogshit. I never played any cinematic platformers (I dont even know if Oddworld counts as one), but from the first bit I played (the escape), I was very much enjoying it. I never got around to finishing it in 2015, so maybe this year it'll be the year where I play Oddworld!
Just going through the reviews here on Backloggd and just reading stuff like "this is part of 6-part-long blahahah" whatever put me off to continuing it. I played it a few years ago but dropped it because I wasn't "ready" for such a time sink. That and I felt the beginning was a slog.
I am putting this preemptively (I only had one session with a friend of mine), but I doubt I will ever boot it up again.
Finishing a Rouge Like might be an oxymoron, but idc: I only played a bit of it and I can definitely see one sinking their teeth in and really divin in - I just can't for now. I got other shit to deal with.
