My favorite game in the series. Heather is such a present character, with a strong personality. All the characters in the game are excellent, especially Vincent and Claudia, but Heather, with all her reactions to the events that are taking place in the town around her is incredible. It also helps that the writing and acting of the characters is much better than the previous game.
I just love the pulse-pounding, visceral tone of the game. It's not the Silent Hill that scared me the most, the prize for that goes to the first one, which was my first contact with the series and with a deeper terror. But the game's bright red and shimmering enemies made SH3 quite scary for me, but in a... different way, I guess.
Unfortunately the game is extremely short, with an extremely small Silent Hill that makes it visible that the development was rushed, and there is also some annoying spam from enemies in several areas.
But I don't care, it's still my favorite personally. Very, very special and with an absolutely perfect soundtrack.
