is there a more dead thematic horse in this medium than an orientalist, neon-drenched, cyberpunk setting + a synth-y soundtrack ?

this game (specifically) was pleasant, but gamers™ (and devs, by proxy) just won't loosen their dorito-dust-flavoured, RGB-brained grasp on this particular aesthetic. we're all wasting the creativity the human mind has to offer
be brave :)

that said, absolutely unbearable soundtrack. even in music circles with affinities for nerdy shit it isn't cool in even a subversive or ironic way. vgm is shrouded in stigma because people praise shit like this
