I don't like horrors, I get scared as fuck every second I play them, but this game catched my eye with its concept, simplicity, nearly 0 jumpscares, lenght, easy trophies and low price.

The game isn't great, but it's not a complete disaster either, even though a lot of people claim it that way. It can't be compared to main console installements, obviously, but as for a mobile game, it's kinda ok. I play it from time to time when I lay in my bed and don't want to do anything. I haven't spent a single cent on it, and I never will.

The combat isn't that bad. Yeah, I can't ignore the elephant in the room, the combat in 1.0 version was a billion times better, even though I didn't play it. But the combat we have now isn't catastrophic. You can still do something cool, especially having the character switch on the fly. If you pull Nero Devil Bringer, for example, and combine him with Nero Knight of the Order in your team, you will basically have Nero's full-ass moveset from DMC 4, excluding DT special moves and a few Red Queen combos. I think It's pretty decent for a mobile game.

There's still some faithfulness it this game. There is a some kind of Bloody Palace, even though It isn't full, but I would'nt play the full BP on the mobile either, so I'd say It's okay. Nero feels very similar to DMC 4, you can replicate some Red Queen combos from the big game. You have Calibur, you have charged shot, you even have an Enemy Step. You can chain Vergil's judgement cuts. You have a fully working Royal Guard style for Dante, even though you need to pull a separate character for it. There are some puzzles from DMC 3 and 4. You have The Void to practice moves and do combos. Gotta give some credit for it. At least some amount of people in this company understand the essense of DMC franchise.

The game has a potential, but the violent monetization makes it barely enjoyable for F2P players sometimes. I'm currently at the end of Chapter 10 and I just can't go any further, because my characters are underdeveloped. And the developing process became slow as fuck, I'm constantly running low on upgrade materials, gems, red orbs and basically everything, even though I do all the daily activities. Recent events were a complete pay to win trash, and the saddest part of it is that the devs probably won't change their monetization policy.

A cool game with an interesting plot and moderately difficult puzzles.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend to google puzzle solutions if you are stuck somewhere. You will get a full gaming experience only by solving everything yourself. It's not too difficult. Personally, I've never had a single time where I felt hopeless, with no options on what to do next. The solution is always somewhere nearby.
