Alright for a borderlands game. But the weapons somehow feel less unique and interesting when you get them, and every enemy feels a bit more damage-spongy. Dialogue is still great and is certain to give a few chuckles. Great co-op time waster as usual.
A solid game with very little content, but kind of zen once you figure out what to do.
Gosh I really don't know how to put this. The game is definitely outdated as a new player. But something about it, despite the frustrating controls, clunky combat, and awkward navigation. I was having fun and I was drawn in. The game has a really un-complex map design. The game feel even with the clunky controls feel intentional and still somewhat intuitive. The story is really good, and somehow the terrible voice acting seems intentional to be vague and off-putting, which compliments how you are expected to put the pieces together yourself. I think it is really well designed for it's time. And gosh the atmosphere, it's music, textures, and the fog especially is impressive and feeds the feeling of lostness, but you persevere through because you really feel James need to work through his obvious mental suffering. Just a really good lesson on designing a horror game that is scary but not overwhelming and is designed to make the player push through the horrors within. Well made game tbh...
