im so sad bc a friend recommended me this and it started off so good but alas...
to start with:
pros
+ art style that fits a lot with the theme, its not particularly "pretty" to look at but it does the job
+ character designs both fit the time period (early 2000s) AND the setting (u'll understand when u see it)
+ if you ignore the stuff ill talk in the spoilers section the first 10-15 hours and some additional info you get at the end are just. really good writing
+ worldbuilding that makes sense and makes you go "OHH.. THAT'S WHAT IT WAS" in a good way
+ lots of anti-frustration mechanics such as the game telling you where you fucked up and what you should have done, and which keys are for which choices
+ rly good ost!!!
+ i just like mafia/werewolf
? there's no real gore, everything is drawn with a red silhouette instead.

complaints about haruaki and rikako:
i think the first loop where you dont participate in the feast and the second loop where you DO participate and play as the snake are flawlessly written, aside from chiemi's behavior in wit (which is explained later) is written in a really cringeworthy way, i think that just fits her personality. characters react differently to familiar people and events depending on their role during the feast which keeps the story fresh during each loop and you learn more about them. my problem with the wolf route which also has characters behaving differently than usual is mostly with haruaki's behavior with haru. chiemi and rikako are his love interests during the first loops which i have no problem with, but haruaki is (self reclaimed) 24 years old and haru is a 15 year old. haruaki is just really creepy about her, saying that she is "becoming his type" and that he has "fallen for her" and "would like a relationship with her had she not been a wolf". although haruaki himself is an unreliable narrator, lying about pretty much everything ever, no one in the game questions the age gap when haruaki says he had fallen for her (although this can be explained with the fact that yasumizu is a hypertraditionalist religious village, and as i am currently living in a country filled with and basically ruled by these villages i can see that being ok with them, however the journalists are educated people from the city, they should never be okay with a 24 yr old saying he has fallen for a 15 yr old.
i also hate that rikako is also a pedophile and a rapist, at least she gets called out, not because shes a rapist or a pedophile but because she is trying to resurrect an ancient evil god and destroy japan. i mean ok priorities. i know japan isnt the best with these topics (rape and pedophilia) so thats all i will say.
i didnt like the ending. i hate the whole "dreamer" thing, i hate that fucking sheep so much just ruining the immersion completely and destroying the setting the game had established, and i hate the game trying to justify EVERYTHING about yasumizu with "facts and logic", such as miguruma and higuchi controlling yasumizu and making them think ookami-sama DOES exist, and while learning about these with nosato was fun and made me go "ohhhhhhh", i just hate that how haruaki had an answer for everything. the corruption? its miguruma destroying the bodies with machines. the marks? they put sleeping gas in their room. the locks opening themselves? miguruma must have put motion activated locks on the doors. just bulldoze the whole village at this point whats the fucking point the cops wont come anyway
anyway it was ok the ost was really good. as for who i think is autistic (because i have to pick an autist from everything i play) i think its both kiyo and mocchi, i think autism just runs in the nosato family. also i love haru / the badger god combo theyre so fucking funny

nov 16 2022 isnt my actual start date however i uninstalled it after spending a day with teo because hes so fucking boring, but i got it back on harry's release. played around 160 days with harry but i got spoiled on pretty much everything in teo's routes.
the differences between harry and teo's routes are:
β harrys story and teo's story are the polar opposites of each other
β harry's is full of drama, NOTHING ever happens in teos
βin harrys route the people around him keeps dragging him down while in teo's route everyone is super supportive of him
β harry hates everyone and teo loves everyone like a cat and dog
(the last 2 are meant to represent what kind of people they attract to themselves)
β and lastly teo's story is about his interactions with the world around him while harry's is about how the world interacts WITH him (without his consent)
harry route pros (this list is short):
+ harry is definitely autistic and a lot more fun than teo.
+ hes also cuter. thats it
big ass rambling about the story in general:
during the first 100 days (or maybe the first 70 days idk im autistic) harry is visibly uncomfortable with the player and, unless you like teasing him and making life hell for him, does not get better until he actually starts feeling something for the mc. harry is forced to talk to the mc because of piu piu, for the first 50 days or so, piu piu puts alarms to his phone so he wakes up earlier than hes used to so he can reply to our messages, harry has said the alarms dont turn off until he sends a message, he cant mute the phone during the alarms because it doesnt work, and also piu can ELECTROCUTE HIM through the phone if he doesnt reply the messages. so he is definitely not talking with the player because he wants to.
big ass rambling about the summer update:
after the summer update the story started getting kinda cringe luv x. its just not fun to read. i like some fantasy stories or stories with meta or 4th wall elements but the ssum does not do a good job forcing that into the story. when the character angel was introduced he was way more fun as a potential hacker (and there was a lot of speculation that he and piupiu were meant to mirror 707 and unknown by fans), but now theyre trying to add some supernatural elements to the story with him, and to me it would be way more in character if he made fun of harry for believing in these "angel that appears during a full moon" stuff bc hes just a hacker, but even angel himself insists on that, so obviously cheritz is going for a supernatural thing where "outer sources will try to pull us apart !!!!!!!! and love with triumph!" or some shit like that. it was more fun when harry and mc wasnt dating and it was just harrys daily life.
it got worse with characters being introduced and none of them being good people and with the addition of some k-drama elements, and now theyre adding supernatural elements to it, which i wouldve loved if the story had them to begin with, like, lets say dandelion or nameless.
other than that i think most of the women are written in a weirdly antagonistic k-drama villainess type way and the men are all losers. i love cheritz but this is definitely their all time low nothing will top mm and dandelion now. i love harry, cheritz did him so dirty. hes mine now. and as i insist in all of my reviews he is also autistic

this is just my review after dropping the game but finishing like 90% of it

+ a genuine successor to the princess maker series made with real love and passion put into it and i think it can even rival the later installments of PM
+ really cute art style that just works even if the current scenario is a bad one
+ really easy, and you don't really need a step by step guide unlike other daughter raising sims such as PM or long live the queen
cons
- daughters age at the beginning is only 12 and most of the romance options are WAY older than your daughter with the EXCLUSION of nina, craig, and if you're okay with the romeo and juliet law; lon and ze. some characters, like hackett, despite being adults, flirt with your daughter while she is only 12. some of your romance options are your teachers or role models whom don't show ANY kind of romantic interest until after you've finished the game, or a character implied to be blood related to your daughter (spoilers). the only nonromantic endings are with basilou and jermaine.
- while you are left on your own for your first playthrough, your stats are improved after each playthrough because you gain points through achievements, making it SIGNIFICANTLY harder to get normal, worse or bad endings late-game. i managed to get the best ending without using any cheats and my other attempts at getting the normal endings after that has been harder than getting the best ending itself
