SMT fans when a game says "humans bad" for the 295746th time: "🤯"
(they will assure you it's peak writing)

Good SMT on the classic formula, new endings, and improved QoL features

i loved the new endings, the last 2 boss fights are really FUCKING hard and i kinda loved it, it was an incredible adventure overall

By far my favorite entry in the series from a writing and gameplay loop perspective. Certain parts of the battle system aren't quite comparable to mainline SMT but it makes up for it with its myriad other systems that keep you invested. The writing is also peak SMT, an original premise, an engaging cast, and varied endings make it a must play

I look forward to the successful completion of your mission.

This game has some of the most addicting gameplay ever, but it’s held back from greatness by a few things. First of all, the story is extremely mediocre so please don’t believe the people who say otherwise. This ties into what I consider the game’s biggest problem: the pacing is SO bad. This is a long ass game and the first 75% feels like (fun) aimless meandering. By the time it started heating up I had basically lost interest already. Another huge problem I have with this game is that the soundtrack is so boring. I really don’t think this orchestral type of score fits the game at all. I would only recommend that fans of the series play this game because it’s just too much of a time commitment, especially since the final two bosses are so ball-crushingly hard, most people probably don’t even have the patience to beat them.

The "puzzles" are miserable, all aside from that is good. Genuinely didn't have fun for most of it. I only went on because I love Megaten, but after finishing this one and Nocturne, I'm reconsidering if I really do.
