was about to jump into another story-heavy jrpg after trails into reverie (a known story-heavy game) til i saw a youtube video saying that if you're afraid of having gaming burnout as a jrpg player, try live a live for this game is such a palate cleanser AND I AGREE
this game is so quirky and idk somehow boundless as in nothing could really frame this game from its plot, mechanic, aesthetics, and everything. each arc has its own gameplay that deserves its own video essay. the mechanics really remind me how video game can be fun and absurd at the same time and how deep storyline does not mean layers of seriousness from time to time.
this game is surprisingly short and im fine with that! the effort to tie up every character's story kinda patchy and there's a lot of loose ends which is not that big of a deal because its just a game! stupid fun exciting little game!

LOVE the writing!! especially when players of this game were geared up with whats actually happening by playing zero. so things were heavy from the start and it gets even heavier!
things that i think kinda unfortunate is that i feel like the developer kinda know they will still expand the game while creating this. so the wrapup is not really satisfying. its more like "okay this is not goodbye, we'll see you soon" which i think its good too because i need more crossbell gang! but yeah, it felt unfinished.

this game perfected its predecessor for me but like not too much. the developer did well by making more seamless interaction between traveler and the joint plot is a nice touch. the ending and the post individual arc are a good wrap up to the main plot. i love the ship traveling mechanic too it really is a homage to retro jrpg's overworld travel. i hope they make more from this series!
