Okay so, I'm assuming this page is for the Japanese version of the NA release of Adventures of Lolo 2. This series has some confusing localization stuff.

So, this game is basically just another level pack to Adventures of Lolo. Same engine, just different levels. Though there is one mechanic that gets used in this game that didn't in the first (or at least, the first NA one. Haven't tried the first JP ones yet). Blocking enemy respawns will cause them to appear in a different set location. It's a bit problematic, since you don't know where an enemy will spawn without trial & error, and it often results in having to restart the level. It's handled a bit better here than the NA counterpart, because the first level here kinda guides you into doing it and showing you, but it is a bit frustrating if you're completely unaware that a mechanic like that exists.

This game has all the same problems as the first one as well, with a lives system for some reason, which makes the aforementioned trial & error really cumbersome. As well as not being able to tell what heart blocks give you shots without trial & error.

But the big place where this game falls completely flat is the level design. The design philosophy in this game feels so much more like an action game than a puzzle game. There were a lot of levels where you had to do specific and precise movements with zero room for error. Sometimes when you're constantly changing between normal floor and the floors that make you move at half speed. It's extremely frustrating for all the wrong reasons. As well as constantly having to be aware of the positions of those moving insta kill enemies, or having to deal with multiple enemies at the same time. It's really not fun.

I also feel like the levels in this one were just... too hard? Obviously the action based levels were frustrating, but even the actually good puzzle levels were just extremely hard. Way harder than the first game. I guess that's a good thing actually. The actual puzzle levels we do get here are pretty good, but they're few and far between.

This is definitely my least favorite Lolo game so far.
