It is a good option for lite strategy.

i spent too much time conquering the world as Germany in this. jokes aside. early game is just panic and hoping for the shit to go your way so you can get your stuff up. mid-game is the fun part of the wars and shit. late-game you are too powerful and everyone just accepts you when you do an ultimatum. meh
если не sieg edition - то смысла мало
i've spent hours and hours on end playing around with custom scenarios, or just doing stuff like making a single province have better economy than the rest of the world; It's very recommendable if you really like not-that-serious geopolitics and if you like sandbox games. That goes without mentioning all the amazing mods out there which make the game extremely refreshing. The release date is wrong, btw

It's insane how the mechanic of points doesn't matter in all games
Manage your economy doesn't change nothing, all of your population will still happy dont matter what happen
