Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms is an RPG inspired by classics like Baldur's Gate and Pillars of Eternity. Set in a fantasy world, the game offers fast-paced action with a deep narrative. Alaloth is a dark god who turned his back on his pantheon and came to the mortal realms. There he is imprisoned in the Valley of Storms, where the four great kingdoms of men, orcs, elves and dwarves intersect. From the heart of the valley he spreads evil across all the kingdoms and is determined to extinguish any glimmer of hope for all who call this world home.

Storms, monsters, pestilence, strife and great dragons beset the realm. It will take strength and courage to defeat Alaloth in his prison. Alaloth's world is made up of four vast regions. To the northwest lies the Goldenwood Forest and the Republic of Larastir, where the elves keep the secrets of the gods safe. To the northeast lie the mountains of Kemot's Teeth, home to the dwarves who live in this great rocky region: Karak-Hohn. In the southwest, you will discover Baga's Desolation, a wasteland ruled by orcs. In the southeast, humans brought civilization to its golden age with a great gulf region of cities, merchants and prosperous growth: The blessed Kingdom of Edherest reigns.

The independent studio Gamera Interactive Unit 4 and the developers of Midnight Caravan are responsible for the development and publication of the game. The script was written by well-known developer Chris Avellone. Chris Avellone also worked on Fallout: New Vegas, Planescape: Torment or Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords. In the game world, several dozen different clans and noble houses compete for power and influence. The player takes on the role of a representative of one of them. The decisions made during missions affect the main plot and change the fate of the four kingdoms that gave the game its name.

The gameplay has taken certain aspects of classic, isometric RPGs. It combines complex plots and companions with characters, a combat system similar to the real-time challenging Dark Souls series, and a complex fantasy world that is largely randomly generated. The game offers a choice of four races: Humans, elves, dwarves or orcs. Throughout the game we develop our character using separate paths, classes and skills. We also have the opportunity to acquire new equipment, among other things, thanks to the crafting system implemented, we also make choices during the game that shape our relationship with individual factions, which in some cases leads to unlocking new quests. The developers have also prepared and added an editor that allows us to shape some aspects of the game.

Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms can be played solo or with others. The main mode is the story campaign, which can be played locally or over the Internet with up to three players. During the game we can both support your friends and compete with them. Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms offers good 3D visuals reminiscent of many other isometric RPGs such as Baldur's Gate and Pillars of Eternity, but it definitely lags a bit behind the best, such as Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire or Divinity: Original Sin 2. The game's designs are nevertheless quite realistic and characterized by a subdued artistic style that reflects its atmosphere well. The game offers an average of 20 hours of gameplay.
