Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes the Neighborhood

released on Nov 16, 2004

Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes the Neighborhood is the second installment in the Backyard Wrestling series and was released on Xbox and PlayStation 2. The licensed soundtrack includes music by Andrew W.K., Kool Keith, the Insane Clown Posse, Bad Brains, Body Count, Six and Violence, Mudvayne, Saliva, Fall Out Boy, and Hoobastank. It was developed by Paradox Development, now owned by Midway Games, and was published by Eidos Interactive. The television commercial included Insane Clown Posse, Vampiro, New Jack, and Major Gunns. Despite promises of an improved gameplay experience, the game was a critical flop when released in 2004. Its sales numbers remained respectable, however, moving nearly 300,000 copies through 2005.

As a fan of ICP, Destroy Build Destroy, Rated X Videos, and Hardcore Wrestling this is a dream come true! Unbelievably epic cast full of characters like New Jack, Tera Patrick, Shags n J, and Sick Nick Mondo! Goddamn this cast was golden. The soundtrack for this game was banging 2. Kool Keith, Lamb of God, and of course ICP are killer. Anyway, onto the gameplay. It's a really simple beat'em up style fighter with light wrestling mechanics. The finishers were brutal and beating someone with a weed whacker in a pool is never boring. This game has what alot of modern games lack. Soul. Sure's it's hella rough around the edges, but which other game let's you play as a porn star flipping CZW wrestlers around? Only Backyard Wrestling 2! Yeah, I love this game. Helluva summer with my last year on PS2. Plus, the unlockable videos where straight-up kino.

they put new jack and violent j on the cover this is the best wrestling game ever made literally

slamming two faygo bottles together and dumping them into my mouth because wrestling is awesome
