It's a decent action arcade game, but not something I'd go out of my way to finish.

Fascinating as a proto-Metroid, the controls are actually simple and refined, and the weight of the constant gravity is a rewarding system to wield in combat. Drifting slowly down from an upper platform as you blast beams at intergalactic vermin, weaving through their lazy projectiles as you do, it’s good, baby.

This game deserves a lot of respect in a few regards. For starters the creepy atomshphere it tries to create is really impressive for the time. The lack of music and the harsh sound effects helps establish that. The core gameplay loop is actually pretty fun and addictive. The enemy designs are genuinely pretty creepy. And leads me to say the sprite work is pretty damn good.
All that being said I don't see myself finishing this game anytime soon because despite me finding it fun, it gets really tiresome because of all the obnoxious enemy placement and patterns. Unless you're an Octy, each enemy just randomly spawns in the stage and the number of them that shows up too is random. There are identifible patterns to beat them, but the amount that Baraduke throws at you is just overwhelming at times. Also enemies should never appear in the bonus round, that's just mean.
I could only really recomend this to arcade freaks like myself that can get behind this kind of thing. It's still worth looking into if you're in any way curious though.

Haha the suit looks like the crewmate from Among Us (2018)

Metroid before Metroid in some ways. Surprisingly very atmospheric and creepy for its time, and both of those qualities still hold well up to this day, even to me, where I usually don't get shaken up by horror games. Can be a bit too janky even by my usual tolerance for jank and can be unforgiving at times. Still a decent game, though.
