This expansion is truly an outstanding addition to the game. The new boss battles are engaging and challenging, with just the right amount of challenge without becoming frustrating. I particularly enjoyed the final boss, which requires a thorough understanding of moves and near-perfect execution.
Game progression and exploration were fairly smooth, although the path is slightly more linear than in the base game. However, this DLC rewards those who have spent time on the main game and subsequent updates, as some movement skills are essential for dealing with the new bosses.
Despite the generous amount of content, an experienced player could complete the DLC fairly quickly, but it should be regarded as an exciting farewell to Blasphemous. If you are a fan of the game and interested in the future of the series, this expansion is absolutely not to be missed, as it creates a direct link to the next chapter.

The second run was even better. It's still a solid metroidvania, and fairly challenging soulsy exploration game. Platforming is a weak point as before, but on the other hand, the game has added quite a lot of content and improvements with the latest add-ons, for which the game doesn't want to be blamed at all.
Very excited before the sequel.
