I respect Bound in some ways; I think that walking sims come with a lot of pressure not to be simply that and instead often have some wonderfully creative ways to try and set themselves apart from the crowd. To that end, Bound presents us with a series of levels in which we play as a dancing figure, swirling her way through abstract manifestations of a turbulent childhood. It's cool on a conceptual level, but winds up fairly tame in gameplay terms, and the overarching narrative is, unfortunately, a little trite and underdeveloped. Bound is certainly an intriguing spectacle, but it's all surface level.

Shame that I took so long to play this game.
Objectively it's a 3/5; nice visuals with very interesting art design that unfortunately gets bogged down by the slow movement of the dancing.
For me it's a solid 4 based on what it made me feel; the adventure of the princess as a metaphor for what happened to the family of the woman in the beginning really touched something in me.
It reminded me of Journey because of how relaxing certain points got, with the added plus of actually having a narrative I cared about.
Beautiful game with some not so nice mechanics

Скучно, однообразно, неинтересно, безгеймплейно, красиво.

I generally adore speedrun-focused games. Bound is one such game, and is additionally really unique in its artstyle and presentation.

Despite being in 3D, Bound doesn't require too much precision and thus still feels great to play and sequence-break, although there are still a few moments where the camera can be your worst enemy.

Also, the 100% speedrun can be a pain, as some of the collectibles blend with the background and can easily be missed.

I love how this game looks. It is one of the coolest-looking games I've played. The low polygon style it uses is awesome. It's just too bad the gameplay is pretty boring. I found it was way too slow and I didn't like some of the mechanics around movement.
