Plays and looks worse than the first Hammerin’ Game Boy game, which is weird. Also why is he in Dr. Wiley’s factory?

Not sure why this page uses the Asian version's name but whatever. This one is interesting, I think if you're trying to find a game to improve on the previous foundation then you won't get it here. It does try to do interesting things with the gameplay and even has the biggest story I've seen in the games so far. IDK why the story here has more to it then the Super Famicom game but was certainly a surprised. Sadly no English version exists as of writing this.

While it does have interesting gameplay ideas, it's all very simple and repetitive especially the normal gameplay, I'd argue it's maybe at its worst here. It also once again has a boring shmup section, why do these games keep doing them? This is like the third game to do it! The 2nd to last boss in this game also takes way too long to beat. Warning for anyone who uses mGBA, the shmup boss will be invisible but thankfully it's a stationary wall boss so it's not really any harder than it should be normally. It's overall a decent game, you could do worse for the GB and if you like this series well you probably already played it but give it a go if you haven't. Just be warned it can be hard.
