Fun boomer shooter in VR in terms of mechanics and a beautiful late-80's aesthetic and soundtrack that just ooze style. I'm not a big fan of rouge-likes/lights but this one really caught my attention and kept me wanting more.

Compound lets you destroy a Pharmacutical Company.

Well, not really. but its got a killer dystopian aesthetic with guns that sound satisfying to shoot with. VR Roguelikes are fun, will not lie. ADVR proves this effortlessly.
Where Compound seperates itself is essentially guns. and bullets. Ever wanted to do matrix level weaving? It's possible! Gameplay loop is simple, shoot dudes and clear
the map. No finding the exit. It'll open once all enemies are dead. Whilst there isnt much variety, it keeps itself fresh using drones and elite guards, and at the end. you
gotta shoot down a helicopter. Theres even Mutations which modify how your run is gonna go, like enemies having faster projectiles. or being able to keep all weapons you find.
Looping also is possible, should you make it to the top and defeat the mastermind CEO who has created a vaccine for some reason, and apparently, alls not what it seems with
it. and it seems the entire building knows. My personal favourite combo is the standard pistol and assault rifle. but when you apply Old Schooler, you get every weapon
avaliable once obtained. you'll move faster, and autopick up hp and ammo. but enemies will be aplenty, and bullets will be fast. Being a good shot will give you the edge
when in the heat of battle. but some weapons will be better dependent on the situation of course. Each time you get hit it is your fault.
damage isnt cheap here. Or at least, from what i experienced. Each run i've had the losses have been fair, no cheap shots fom behind me.
This is a buy, £15 you're getting what you pay for. Essentially Hotline Miami + Roguelike.
