This leaves more of an impression than The Bad Seed, thanks to the biomes having unique characteristics to them - for better or worse.
The button-activated traps of the Fractured Shrines is sure to give you a hell of a time when you first reach this biome, but the "enemy souls left behind" thing from Undying Shore is far less aggravating.
Plus, the new boss is probably one of the best yet.
