Donkey Konga 3: Tabe-houdai! Haru Mogitate 50 Kyoku is a music video game in the Donkey Kong series developed by Namco and published by Nintendo. Before the second installment was released in North America, Nintendo and Namco had already started plans for the third game in the series, which, unlike the first two Donkey Konga games, was eventually released only in Japan in early 2005. Donkey Konga 3 features a total of 57 track (includes the all new track), over 20 track more than the first two games. 35 of these tunes are the usual classical, pop, and game selections, but an extra 21 tunes from Nintendo Famicom games are included. It also features features all new minigames. The title of "Donkey Konga 3 JP" was given in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Child me was very sad that this never got localized.

After finally playing it, it's as much fun as the other Konga games, though after Konga 2 eliminated the grind a bit for me, Konga 3 felt like it took more of a grind to unlock the Gorilla songs, which made it wear out its welcome. I also don't quite understand what that Banana Tree minigame was (or most of the game, for that matter, since it was in a language I don't know).

I wonder what the setlist would've looked like if it did receive a US release; between it being "Spring-themed" and having a lot of J-Pop songs and anime openings, I wonder what the transition to a US release would've brought.

"i absolutely hated the bongos" - good ol reggie

Just as mid as the other 2 Donkey Konga games, but this one has the edge for two things
1. It has the opening theme of Dragon Ball Z
2. It's a japanese exclusive, which gives it mystery vibes

Mdrr c'est le crossover le plus proche que l'on a actuellement entre nintendo et Naruto/Dbz

you have to grow your rhythm banana by playing every day. funky kong uses the first person pronoun "me". like, literally the english first person pronoun "me", where a typical japanese first person pronoun would go. there are like four naruto openings in this one. im pretty sure this is the one with the puffy song in it. megumi hayashibara and koichi yamadera sing the donkey kong country opening and ending themes bc they voice donkey kong and diddy kong respectively in the show's japanese dub. these got better with each entry. gotta leave em wanting more.
