Dragon Age: Inquisition is a role-playing game and the third main game in the Dragon Age series. It is set in the Thedas continent, the same fantasy world as the two previous games. It consist of two large countries: Ferelden (from Dragon Age: Origins) and Orlais, as well as the land inbetween. True to the spirit of the series the character can be customized for appearance, sex, class and race. The available races are dwarf, elf, human, and Qunari and the classes are mage, rogue, and warrior with three specializations each. To grow the Inquisition experience needs to be earned by completing quests, which allows the player to further define allegiances and pursue romances. A custom party can be defined and each member benefits from experience as it opens up access to better weapons and more abilities. Power points open up new areas and Inquisition points define the influence over the region; each new level provides a perk that benefits the entire Inquisition.

I played this back in 2014 and I've never touched or even really thought about since. Was it good? I think I liked it. Answers on a postcard.

This took me so long to beat because it's a miserable open world experience. I love the Dragon Age world but this game was simply a miss. Bring back the classic style of combat and exploration for Dread Wolf PLEASE

Dragon Age: Inquisition is a massive and ambitious fantasy RPG, and for the most part, it sticks the landing. I loved building up the Inquisition, exploring the vibrant world, and getting invested in my companions and their stories. The combat can get chaotic at times, and the sheer size of the game leads to some grindy quests, but it's an epic adventure with some really memorable characters and choices. If you're into those BioWare-style RPGs, it's a must-play.

played this the minute it came out. obnoxious decisions from upper management, such as the forced inclusion of an unfun co-op vs. AI horde mode and the war table taking upwards of three real life hours to resolve sometimes, mar this game. the crafting components in this game don't have the sort of old RPG charm of DA:O, and instead it feels like a big pointless chore to have to constantly traipse around a semi-open world waiting for one of the points at which Big Rock #2 will respawn so you can make varric's crossbow a bit better. writing is still phenomenal. still worth playing. just maybe get the mod that forces all war table missions to automatically resolve.

One of the best hidden object games out there. You use a magical skull to spot hidden glowing "shards" across the landscape, then run around the semi-open-world map collecting them through light platforming and combat. Your reward for collecting all the shards is greatly increased elemental resistance--useful if you choose to pursue the game's optional sidequest, which is about closing demonic rifts or something.
