A remake of Earth Defense Forces 2 Portable
A remake of the PSP game "Earth Defense Force 2 Portable", that was a port of the Japanese PlayStation 2 game "Earth Defense Force 2" which was called "Global Defence Force" in Europe and didn't receive a release in North America on that platform. Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders From Planet Space features four-player online co-op, an entirely new Air Raider class, and a new English dub.

Second game of the EDF franchise, here the game takes everything from its predecessor and makes it even better, introducing the Pale Wing class equivalent to the Wing Diver class of its successors, female soldier equipped with Jet Pack and laser weapons that comes to overshadow the original Infantry class on account of its futuristic weapons and flying ability, with the disadvantage of low HP that can kill you with a few hits, in addition, the game has 71 stages almost triple the previous game and 300 weapons models.
Game also introduces new enemies such as spiders, centipedes, giant armadillo balls as well as robots Deroys and Imperial Guards. Game storyline takes place in 2019 two years after the events of the first EDF with a new invasion of the Ravagers, storyline follows a similar line to EDF 1 until we face the same Mothership from the previous game, upon defeating it we find out that we are halfway through the game and that a new Mothership five times bigger than the previous one.
EDF 2 is the last to be part of the Simple 2000 Series, having here onwards its own franchise, next game to be released would be Earth Defense Force 2017 for Xbox 360 having a recent remaster for Nintendo Switch, game is a remake of the first Earth Defense Force, however, considered within the franchise as Earth Defense Force 3.

A ridiculously stupid third person shooter with low budget visuals, music, and style that makes the experience incredibly charming.
It's EDF on the go! Nothing super amazing, but it's EDF, so it's fun.
