A lot of people say old Konami has been dead for years. But I’m not sure if all these game enthusiasts who believe that are aware of this series. This is old school Konami, through and through, from the music, to the dating sim modes, to the visuals. I’ve been playing this for a couple months now. Honestly, probably my second favorite baseball game I've ever played, only behind Mario Superstar Baseball and edging out The Bigs. The only thing really holding it back from a 9/10 rating is the language barrier. I just cant properly experience and judge a lot of the game due to not speaking Japanese. But I have played and beaten the main story mode, the olympic mode, played multiple exhibition matches with my cousins. It’s very easy to pick up and play, even if you dont speak the language. Once you memorize what menus do what, your pretty good to go. I used Google Translate to experiance the story mode. It’s definitely not ideal and took much longer, but its a funny story mode. And I love doing multiple runs through it to unlock new players. It has a very addictive Pokedex quality to it. I would really want to try out the dating sim/ Farming modes, but I have a feeling those modes will be even more text heavy, and I’m just not physically ready to break my arms holding my phones camera up to the screen to play those just yet. It really is impressive though how much is packed into this game. If your looking for a good, psudo-arcade like baseball game (especially for the Switch), this is the best one on the market currently. Don't be intimidated by the Japanese language barrier.
