Enter the Matrix

released on May 14, 2003

Enter the Matrix is the first video game based on The Matrix series of films. Its story was concurrent with that of The Matrix Reloaded, and featured over an hour of original footage, directed by The Wachowskis and starring the cast of the film trilogy, produced exclusively for the game. It sold one million copies in its first eighteen days of release, 2.5 million over the first six weeks, and ultimately 5 million copies. First released in May 2003, the same month as The Matrix Reloaded, Enter the Matrix was simultaneously produced with The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. It was developed by Shiny Entertainment, published by Atari and distributed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the GameCube, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

Enter the Matrix, released alongside The Matrix Reloaded, aimed to expand the movie universe through a video game experience. Unfortunately, the game suffers from clunky controls, frustrating combat, and repetitive missions. While the ambition of interweaving its story with the film's plot was intriguing, it fails to truly capture the essence of The Matrix. The bullet-time mechanics feel poorly implemented, and the overall experience lacks the polish and excitement fans of the franchise would have hoped for.

We have max payne at home, and its not actually that bad and pretty fun tbh

i actually quite enjoyed this, and even plugged in a keyboard and wasted hours on that hacking mode

one of the few games I remember of my childhood and I absolutely adored it.

The definition of "almost good". Getting 1080i on the Xbox is very cool and honestly the best part of the game.

Impresionante, me gusto mucho las pelis de Matrix pero el juego increible.
