No reviews for this game? I'm surprised, for how important the Eskimo Bob animations on Newgrounds were in my life (the first thing I ever animated was a tribute to Eskimo Bob), time hasn't been the kindest as it's really faded into obscurity...

This game is designed as a throwback to the NES days, featuring all the classic characters...who you'll hate in the end from how annoying they are as enemies. Bob has a high jump but he has no attack, while Alfonzo can poke them with the stick, meaning you'll want to be Alfonzo a lot more than you'll want to be Bob who's more helpless since he can only hurt bosses. The enemies are all nuisances since you die in one hit, but especially the Narwhal who's incredibly hard to hit and is so incredibly frustrating in any level it's in your priority becomes "change into Alfonzo and take them out" before even doing the level. Why are you collecting fish when the seal is trapped in a spaceship?....I dunno. The lives system is also as pointless as it's ever been, since you die in one hit anyways and dying restarts the whole level...which also happens when you Continue. So the Game Over screen is just a waste of time.

I'll likely check out the next game at some point not because of this game, but because of my enjoyment of Eskimo Bob in the past, I just hope the next game isn't stuck in the past like this one.

COOL.
