Personally, this is probably my least favorite of Olivia Wood's works that I've played through thus far. I stress the personally because I was hoping for a final seafaring story from the Season of Wrecks after a long time away, but while there is a wrecked ship in this story, it is essentially incidental, as is it's connection to the plot.

The real "wreck" of the story is the Theatre you encounter which they are trying to reopen after a long closure. There are various parties interested in it's opening night going one way or another. You go through some carousels to learn more about what's going on while helping to prepare.

The characters was well enough drawn, and there were little details that I adored, like learning (and this also happened historically) that cannonballs are rolled across the roof for creating the sound of thunder.

Enjoyable enough, so I'd trust other opinions over mine if they're positive on the story specifically, but to me as a third act it was a let-down.

That said, the finale to the Season of Wrecks you unlock by completing all three stories was phenomenal, so I'd still recommend playing this, just going in with more grounded expectations than I had.
