I just now remembered that this game is stuck within the remains of Apple Devices after the license for the Android version has died. What a disappointment.

Final Taptasy is a game, for sure. A mobile game in it's finest. Mobile games tend to have ads riddled with them with boring gameplay and story just for someone to play a game while they're waiting on the elevator, playing on the train/bus/car, whatever it may be. However, with this game, I did remember having a ltitle personal connection towards it, but looking at the game again nowadays, it sure didn't age as much as I thought it done. Released in 2016 by Nanoo, Final Taptasy was one of the games that assisted my views on mobile games at the time, but not to an extent that I believe that all mobile games are great. To start off, the game introduces itself with the princess in her castle, and a butterfly with big ol evil eyes comes in with the demon king coming in the clutch just right after. The three heroes come in after hearing the princess scream, but a twist of fate happens when the demon king deliberately tells the princess that she’s getting captured, but she’s all like “i know,” and just taking it just because. Why didn’t the princess slap the demon king’s face or something? I don’t know. But the story makes it’s backloggd retirement setting by having the demon king reveal it’s true face, which is something of absolute majestic beauty. Instead of being saved, the princess actually sticks with the king just for that awesome look… Just for another princess to be captured again, and then the cycle continues with the next princess, and the next princess, and so on.

So how does the gameplay work? You do what the game’s title says: Tap and win. Simple as that…………….. Alright there’s a BIT more to this. But it’s incredibly barebones. You got three classes: The Archer/Windstalker (proving the best critical hits at a far range), Olivia the Priest (best at healing + buffs), and William, the Warrior (best direct damage). They all have their separate weapon trees from a simple stick to a powerful fish sword, to an almighty blade. The Priest has a spoon and some ice cream, and the almighty Windstalker has HOLY CROSS, an and….bows. He’s boring compared to the others. Sorry, Windstalker. You don’t have a good taste in weapons. All of these are unlockable by spending the in-game currency which is gold and diamonds. So what other things does Taptasy have? Allies.

Allies mostly help with… adding more damage, ctitical chances, and buffs. Nothing special outside of the character designs being simple, but great the greater the ally is. What else? Skills. They’re mostly just autotapping, auto opening the chests that appear in the stage (normally, you’d manually click on them, but with the skill it prevents you from doing that, and the indivutial special attacks that appear on the bottom of the screen for you to touch. There’s Great Smash, Whirlwind, Cloning Warrior, Dragon’s rage, and that’s about it. There’s also second variants that you can use with the cost of diamonds, but why would you want to do that if diamonds are just as rare as finding a hay in the needlestack? Gold is smiple as playing the games, while diamonds are just as rare as your typical second currency that forces you to pay the game for having a bunch in stock. They sometimes appear in the stages, and as quests that you can collect upon meeting certain requirements with some of the stages, from clicking a bunch of times, defeating a certain amount of enemies, or using any skill how many times it says for you to use it with.

Some of the last things that I’ll cover for Taptasy are the treasures, the demon shop, Love Escape, the Demon Tower, and rebirth. The treasures are just items that are locked behind playing the game and winning PVP matches against real players. They work in a similar form to the allies, so I won’t get into much detail about that. Love Escape is a game that plays by itself that allows you to farm for gold, diamonds and such, while also having the power to see all of the princesses that you’ve “rescued.” You get to add more to how much your princess loves the king to make him stronger, and there can be some bursts where he goes lovestruck beating the sense out of the good guys, with some of your allies and the heroes themselves appearing on their sometimes. This mode, while wacky and whatnot actually manages to be a good way for you to level up things, and having it at night is a massive game changer to your playthrough of Final Taptasy although it’s annoying to hear the princesses yap yap all the time for their hot king. The Demon Tower is a semi-rougelike mode where you’re supposed to climb the top of the endless tower to well… get more resources, and some other additional benefits. You got three lives, and when they’re out, you have to go climb back unless you use the typical ad to restore your progress. The Demon shop, I don’t remember much, and Rebirth allows you to basically do a NG+ reset (Stage progress, gold, and weapons reset while everything else remains the same), to make things go a bit easier on the other side of things. You also get some extra perks for doing it. Think of it as Cookie Clicker’s ascension system and whatnot. And with all of this information, that’s all I have to cover for Final Taptsay! This game is repetitive with it’s gameplay, story, an everything else that I have to mention, and that's really all I have to say for this game. I plan on making a review of Crusaders Quest which had more of an impact, but that's going to come out when it comes out.
