Quite nice, just wasn't really up to it, in terms of scope and seen-it-before type feelings. Lovely artwork and felt nice in the hand, however.

didn't keep my attention for very long

this reminds me a lot of mario odyssey gameplay structure wise where you have to complete small challenges dotted around the map to go back to a central location to fill a checklist to open more areas to continue doing the same thing

but the inherent difference is that mario is fun to control, and there's a lot more you can do with him to keep yourself engaged

hauntii however has your character (never learned their name) be very sluggish, with the only movement option they have being a dash they can do every few seconds, and since this isn't an open world platformer shit is a lot more limiting and it got repetitive for me fast, especially when the combat isn't particularly engaging either, your only means of attack while unhaunted is a difficult ro aim projectile that makes fighting anything a slog

this game is absolutely gorgeous though id buy it if only for its visuals alone
still not great

Gorgeous art and music, and some really good concepts I liked...! I have mixed thoughts on the gameplay and story. There were some moments I was utterly charmed with the gameplay, and enjoyed some of the really fun haunting mechanics, other times I was a little bit frustrated by bugs or pacing frustration. I enjoyed exploring, though sometimes I felt the locations were a bit empty. I do think gameplay improved significantly from when I tried the demo, though, and I ultimately had fun. Idk! I'm glad I played it.

bello soprattutto artisticamente, noioso alla lunga se si prendono tutte le stelline e le monete
