Perhaps appealing to speedrunner sickos or streamers looking for a between-match time filler. I’m neither though. So to me it mostly just plays like a real lackadaisical rhythm game where nobody bothered to sync up the generic synth soundtrack with the actual timing of the traps.

Charging coins for checkpoints strikes me as a, uhhh, novel feature in a not-F2P game too. Gives me a creeping suspicion that the mechanic was designed with a “watch this ad to get coins!” monetization scheme in mind, that they only pulled out late in dev after Apple Arcade rolled up with a dumptruck full of nickels.

Level 18– the first one to feature a hammer trap running straight into a spike trap that’s on a sliiiightly different cycle— feels like the spot where most players will decide to bail, and I got there within 10 minutes.
