Infinite Stars

released on Sep 01, 2020

Infinite Stars is a science fiction series played as an interactive visual novel. It is meant to give humanity hope in the current time of fear and uncertainty. It is meant to make us dream about our future as we mingle with other species, their cultures and beliefs that we have yet to encounter. The game and it’s assets are licensed under the Creative Commons license. We want our fans to write, draw and code their own fantastic visions of what the future could hold. We want them to share their creations with us, their friends, and with strangers all over the internet.

This game has not been fully released, but it seems to be updated frequently, and from what's already there, it's a pretty interesting experience.

The first hour or so of the game (Like half of the current content) is not from the point of view of your character. Instead you watch the secondary characters as they deal with their current situation, and it's pretty boring and lacking in choice (You can pick two options every 10 minutes or so). And it's just weird to decide things for characters that will later have a life of their own.

The game asks you from the beginning what your name is, then proceeds to ignore you for like 20 minutes, then it asks you gender out of nowhere, and after you give your answer it continues to ignore you for a while, it's pretty funny.

When you finally get to the point where your character gets introduced into the story, the game completely changes for the better, and you are suddenly given a variety of player choices every minute, it's dope. You can romance a lot of people, you can be mean, you can be talkative, you can be serious, you can even modify your backstory to have special interactions. I really don't know why the game didn't start with this part. It's mean to tell them that they should delete half the current game, but...

Also that girl that wanted to kill the cat for no reason, yeah I don't like her.
