There's a lot to love and despise about Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter.

Starting with the negatives, this game has no subtitles for a game a with a fair bit of dialogue, has jarring cutscene quality that ranges from immersive and great to "oh shit we're out of time/budget just cut the cutscene right here", and the Xbox controls are stiff as fuck. There is no brightness adjustment either and none of your weapons have a flashlight so the darker environments are a NIGHTMARE to navigate with much trial and error.

The good in this game thing is this game has a great voice cast. The dialogue is generic, but it's cool that Henry Rollins voices Mace Griffin. Adds a bit of flavor to what's going on. Some of the enemy designs are fun and the segments where you fly your ship in space is legitimately cool.

This game wants to be Halo so bad. The funny thing is at times, the UI and some environments are so similar that you would be able to fool people into thinking they were looking at Halo 1.

I say if you're curious to check it out. There won't be anything mindblowing but it is a neat little game. I want to check this game out on PC because the controls are surely better.
