I'll write a more polished review about this someday because I have a lot to say about it

the combat felt pretty generic and slow, with the battle system being like 90% of JRPGs. It was also pretty unbalanced at points, especially with the special attacks

As for the story, it had a lot of soul and was charming. However I have some issues with it such as various treatment of characters like Schezo who's treated like a joke, Rulue who has her good moments but acts haughty 24/7 (she beats the shit out of a few characters in game, sometimes for stuoid reasons), Lagnus is written well but I wish the characters acknowledged his flaws more because most of the convos with him are about his backstory and the Yogs. I do like Lagnus but I felt that he was somewhat of a gary stu in here. Yoggus, the main villain in the story just feels kinda there to have a Lovecraft villain but it was executed decently I guess.

Overall it's good for babby's first Jarpig and Madou Monogatari fans, otherwise it's pretty average for people who have played a lot of JRPGS
