Fun courses. Not up to the same standards as the base game, but a fun addition nonetheless.

Cool tracks, but the graphics are not there yet.

Wave 2 of the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe brings a mixed bag of exhilarating tracks and a few missed opportunities. While it might not be the ultimate wave of DLC content, it certainly adds some enjoyable options to the game. In this wave, we are treated to a blend of classic and new tracks. From the iconic New York Minute of the Tour to the nostalgic Mario Circuit 3 from the SNES era, and the sandy Kalamari Desert from the N64, there's a variety of racing experiences to be had.

One standout is Waluigi Pinball from the DS version, which retains its charm but falls short in the anti-gravity department, missing a chance to capitalize on the feature. The removal of the unique sound before the finish line in this track is also a letdown for long-time fans. However, there's a ray of innovation in the form of Sky High Sundae, a brand new track that adds a refreshing twist to the mix.

Wave 2 doesn't fully maximize the potential of anti-gravity, with only Sky High Sundae embracing the mechanic. Some players might wish for more anti-gravity action, especially in classics like Waluigi Pinball. Additionally, the track layout for Sky High Sundae, while a welcome addition, feels somewhat predictable due to its oval format.

One notable track swap suggestion would be to replace SNES Mario Circuit 3 with GCN Mushroom Bridge, offering more representation to the beloved GameCube era. The graphics have seen a slight improvement, but it's in Wave 3 that we witness a more significant visual upgrade with Merry Mountain and the breathtaking 3DS Rainbow Road.

In summary, Wave 2 brings an exciting mix of tracks to the table, with some impressive choices, yet it could have pushed the boundaries of anti-gravity further. While there's room for improvement, it's a solid addition to the Booster Course Pass.

Wave 2 Score: 7.5/10

finally getting around to sitting down and playing these DLCs now that its finished! i played the first one when it came out but was still fatigued from playing so much MK8D that i didnt really wanna play the waves after that one as they were coming out.

this one is definitely better than wave 1 but not by much. Snow Land, Waluigi Pinball, Syndey Sprint, and Mushroom Gorge were definitely the best. oh and the music in New York Minute was amazing.

pretty good, but nothing here screams amazing. im very excited to play the rest of these, though

Uma melhoria enorme na Wave 2, com pistas muito mais interessantes (incluindo Sky-High Sundae, perfeita e maluca). Ainda me incomoda a falta absurda de anti-grav, mas torcendo pra melhorar nas próximas.

BEST: Sky-High Sundae, DS Waluigi Pinball, Tour Sydney Sprint
WORSE: SNES Mario Circuit 3, GBA Snow Land
