This is the first wave in the pass where I can safely say that none of the tracks are terrible to play on, not even the ones from Tour. On top of that, we got Birdo. I was slowly losing interest in this DLC but now I'm eager to see how the other waves live up to this quality.
overall a VERY strong wave, maybe my favorite so far. Yoshi’s Island is a strong contender for my favorite track in the whole game
They are all pretty damn good and the only wave where I would not call 1 of the tracks bad. I hope they keep this up because this alongside the balance changes that came with this wave make the game feel fresh again.
A fantastic addition to the greatest kart racer of all time. The Yoshi's Island course is like that scene in Pulp fiction where Uma Thurman gets stabbed in the heart with an adrenaline needle, but with 90s nostalgia. The Amsterdam course is also probably the best Mario Kart Tour level yet. And you get Birdo!
Seeing as there are 3 city courses and not a lot of crazy favorites, I went into this pass expecting it to be the mid to end all mid. Surprisingly I think this was the most solid wave so far out of the entire course pass. Why the hell can't the other city courses be designed like the 3 in this wave??? The music was also really good this time around, and yoshis island looks like it would belong in the actual base game which while kinda sad that that's an improvement, It definitely shows they are trying a bit more this time around. They yassified waluigi stadium and mario circuit was kinda eh. No dingers or tracks done dirty though, which makes this the strongest wave so far IMO.
Most of the new courses are just alright additions. Yoshi's Island is the clear big exciting addition this time around. Getting a new character is interesting and gives me hope that later updates will be very exciting. Birdo definitely deserved being here.
