It was the year 20XX and Earth had finally achieved an extended period of peace. Wily had since vanished, permitting the world to once again focus on other matters: science, progress, and the ever growing relationship between humans and robots. However, Mega Man, now wary of true everlasting piece, recruited eight willing robot masters and began training them; if evil should dare arise, his team, the Rock Force, would be there to stop it.

addresses the issues of 9's story in a really thought provoking and well-crafted way, not to mention having tons of levels with the fusion rms and generally great design, with a ton of difficulty options. highly recommend.
You can be a motorcycle. Broom broom
This is one of the more unique mega man fan games, and it may not be up everyyalleys. It’s very gimmicky, and that’s works sometimes for and against it.
One of the most ambitious mega man fangames. It has a lot of stages and replay value, and it explores some unique mechanics that make the mega man formula feel fresh. Minus half a star for funky graphics and Justice man's missed potential.
As far as Mega Man fan games go it is pretty good. I probably like it more than Unlimited but it simply goes on way too long. None of the robot masters stand out to me, and the whole story with Justice man is real goofy. You can play as other robot masters but they are all specialized. Some are horrible. Elec Man seemed busted.
