Merry Gear Solid 2: The Ghosts of Christmas Past is a fan-game based on the Metal Gear series with a Christmas theme. 4 Set years after the events of the first game, Merry Gear Solid 2 sets Old Snake on an adventure to retrieve Santa’s Hat from an extremist group known as the Ghosts of Christmas Past. Using an array of new tools, and returning favorites, Solid Snake must infiltrate Outer Savin’ mall and prevent the Ghosts from taking control of the SOC (Spirit of Christmas) System.

Funny Christmas game but unironically a worthy sequel to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake on MSX
Actually very polished and fun.
Classic MGS gameplay mechanics handled very well in a simple environment.
Immensely enjoyable cutscenes and dialogue, backed by a really fun OST.

Shame we probably won't be seeing the third one. Do check these two out for Christmas to get in that Christmas sprit.

one of the best fanmade games i've ever played. i belly laughed & chortled. it was just a great time!

This is what Christmas is all about.
This game is a great improvement over the original (and in its own right), but that's not what I'm here to talk about today. This game's soundtrack is absolutely incredible. Each track is an effortless mashup of iconic Metal Gear music with classic Christmas tunes, all using an approximation of the MGS1 soundfont. It's amazing, and the OST album is permanently in my Christmas jams rotation because of it. It's truly not Christmas until you've sipped eggnog while listening to "Happy Sneaking (War is Covert)" and "Sleigh Drive".
