Great collection of 3 amazing games. Definitely the best way to experience prime 2 and 3 (remastered is probably my new favorite way to play prime 1, but I would have to play through it again in the trilogy to say for sure).

This is a great version of the game. But I feel the changes are a little too much to where I usually opt for the original versions of each. Beam effects are gone in Metroid Prime 1. The original chozo lore has also been changed to something more simplified which I don't really care for. Sequence breaking is gone in this one, so no more crazy fun skips. I'm not sure what's different about prime 2, but I know that in Prime 3 the colonel doesn't swear at the beginning any more which I'm not too fussed about but it is an odd change. I think the new pointer controls are really good but a tad overrated. I find the gamecube controls perfectly fine and more snappy. I don't like how you have to point to the beams and visors you want to use, and turning by pointing feels a little awkward. A lot of these changes are in the prime remaster as well, but I feel that port is more high effort. The new graphics, control schemes and more clear item percentage makes up for those issues. Where as here, I'm forced to play a worse controlling version of the game while also having stuff about the original taken away definitive. that I don't think are clear upgrades from the original. I think it's a great value package but not definitive.

the definitive way to experience Metroid Prime.
