Players unleash powerful jutsu attacks, perform acrobatic evasive maneuvers and even run up walls and over water as they pursue their opponent for ninja supremacy. Players customize their character's fighting style and recruit up to two support characters to put their own stamp on the action. Each character in the game is capable of unleashing powerful Awakening abilities under certain gameplay conditions, offering new traits and talents to the game's ninja roster of 25 popular characters from the animated series. NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM supports head-to-head multiplayer fighting for up to two players. Allowing players to further immerse themselves in the world of NARUTO, NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM introduces all-new free-roaming exploration across the Hidden Leaf Village and the Forest of Death. Players can search every inch of these iconic environments to take on more than 100 unique missions, collect valuable scrolls and interact with additional characters from the NARUTO animated series. Injecting additional variety to the game's head-to head combat, these missions include races, special deliveries and large-scale battles against massive opponents.

A campanha não envelheceu tão bem. O constante bloqueio da progressão, que te obriga a fazer missões secundárias para atingir respectivo XP, torna a experiência geral maçante e repetitiva. Além que deixa as sequências de eventos meio fora de ordem e, para alguém que queria só curtir a história e os embates, atrapalha um pouco. Dito isso, o combate ainda segura bastante e acompanhar os personagens em suas jornadas continua nostálgico.

O mundo aberto é incrível e bom de explorar, mas o modo história deixa bastante a desejar, junto com a junção de ser obrigado a fazer missões secundárias para fazer as missões principais é bem chato.
Tem pouco conteúdo em geral, bem menos do que o resto. Mas, o sistema de luta é bom, só falta aperfeiçoar. Sabendo pra onde a série vai, é impossível não pensar o quanto podia ser melhor.

I find it strange that the first game in this series is the one that's the most unique as a game. The open world is actually interactive and explorable, there are minigames and not just fights, and even the fights themselves make themselves unique from others in the same game.
The later games obviously improve much more when it comes to polish and fighting section mechanics, but I appreciate this game's attempt at being a true Naruto game.
