A mod for Paper Mario
Paper Mario: Dark Star Edition is a mod for Paper Mario created by ShadeBlade that adds a lot of new content to the game and increases the difficulty. Some of the content (various badge and enemy sprites and maps) was taken from Master Quest, but most of it is entirely new. This mod is meant to be about as difficult as Master Quest Jr, but there are badges that increase the health and damage of enemies.

Started on MiSTer (don't do this, it is not console compatible) finished it on my S9 Ultra using M64Plus FZ Pro.
Overall it was a super good romhack. I really enjoyed the difficulty mostly and the new badges were all great. I wish certain fights from the vanilla game were not so hard, and I wish one specific fight late game was a bit less hard as well. I would suggest using savestates to save yourself some time as well.

Amazing mod would highly recommend! Takes a great game and expands on its greatness in more ways than one. The new badges, items, combat mechanics, and enemies are the highlights for me
